The 5 of us: Chris, Lydia, Andis, Ieva, PeterisLife has so gotten away from me. The last 5 weeks have consisted of the Music Ministry Seminar going on. Chris has been staffing it. I haven’t been, but somehow I’ve been very involved and busy withChris it. In the midst of it we had a friend come and visit us for 2 weeks. Jim is an awesome photographer so he took a million pics of us and our friends and everything else around. :-)

The Czech CrewOur time with Jim also included a weekend trip to Czech! It was so good to see our friends there again. The only bad part was it wasChris at dinner much too short, and, on the way back we had stormy weather so we had an unexpected detour/stop in Tallinn, Estonia. It was quite late when we got back, but it was a fun trip.

Lizzy & Chris on outreachOutreach for the Seminar started last Monday. I think the final count was 18 concerts in 8 or 9 cities in 7 days. Ugh. We’re all pretty dead and many are sick, including me. One more week left. It’s been hard, and not always a good hard.Me

School starts on Friday, though I shouldn’t have to start teaching until Tuesday. I can’t believe the summer has flown by so quickly.

Until next time…

It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I’ve thought about it for about 3 years or so, but I was always so chicken, mostly because I hate pain. Some people say that it’s not biblical, even sinful, but in my research and study, I have found this not to be true. (See Ezekiel 16) I talked with Chris, my hubby, to get his opinion and he actually thought it would look good. So, I decided to do it.

Andis was thinking about it too, so we decided to go together for moral support. I had hopped to do it on my birthday last week, but it didn’t work out schedule wise, so we went on Friday morning.

I will say that piercing my nose was the most painful thing I’ve ever done, but I do likeLyd&Andis it alot. I think it looks good and so does everyone else that has seen it. I just have a small stud in it, not a ring. Maybe part of the reason I finally did it is due to the youth culture that I’m so immersed in. I don’t know, but I do like it! Gratned, it’s not something that someone usually does when they turn 33, but… I’ve never been one for going with the flow. :)

By the way, Andis only did his ear… and he was scared… he has NO idea what pain is!
